Frequently Asked Questions

We hope this page is useful to you. If you have a question that is not answered here then please don't hesitate to email us.
What in the world is this all about?
The simple answer is that we were going insane with just trying to buy a few of the newest "Bitcoin like" coins so that we could hold on to and see what happens. Almost like a long term lottery ticket. It was a long, painful, expensive process. There just had to be a better way. So we made one :-)
Which coin is going to explode in price like Bitcoin?
No one knows this. Just like lots of very smart people work on Wall Street and none of them know exactly which stocks are going to be the "winners" there are also lots of very smart people that work in the cryptocurrency industry and none of them know who the "winners" will be. Whether you use our service or not, please, please, please don't let anyone tell you which coins are the next Bitcoin.
But all of the coins you offer will make me money, right?
Please see above. We just wanted a few coins just in case and we want to make it easy for others to get a few coins just in case. Right now, it's extremely difficult and expensive to get these coins for the purpose of "just in case". We don't think anyone should be left out of getting a few coins if they want them.
Can I give you $1000 USD and you send me the equivalent coins today, tomorrow, next week?
That really isn't what we are here for. For a few bucks, we'll put some coins into a wallet designated for you. That wallet address will be protected in cold storage and you won't have access for a considerable period of time, at least a few months but you probably shouldn't even be thinking about it for years. Please note, due to the nature of this service, your coins will not be immediately available for withdrawal to you. Our minimum hold period is three (3) months; however, the intent of this service is for you to HODL for a long period of time.
What's this "cold storage" thing and how cold is it?
Cold storage in this context basically just means we keep the private/secret keys offline. They will not be stored on a device that is accessible by the internet. This keeps them safe. We also give each individual customer their own wallet addresses where possible. This adds additional security. One security incident wouldn't put everyone at risk.
Why do you even care about holding the wallets?
This is just another painful thing we have come to identify. Did you know that it is estimated that up to 40% of all of the Bitcoins in existence have actually been lost? That's around 50 Billion dollars, USD, at today's Bitcoin price. Billion. Lost. If your private/secret key is lost then your coins are lost forever. There is no company to go to so you can show an ID to prove who you are to get them back. The private/secret key is everything. We are providing a service for the long term. Do you really want to keep up with some secret key for the next 5 to 10 years? Some wallets even have a minimum amount of coins they must hold in order for the wallet to be considered "activated". For example, Ripple (XRP) has a 20XRP minimum just for the wallet address. At today's prices, just activating the wallet would cost you nearly $60USD. Those coins are also not spendable. That's a pretty steep price to pay when you just want 5XRP, for example.
How do I get my coins in the future?
Let's say everything goes according to our hopes, wishes, and dreams. We offer some package that has a mixture of the right coins, right now we offer packages with Ripple (XRP), Verge (XVG), and DigitalNote (XDN), and one or more of those coins turns out to be the next big thing. You've been checking your Hold Tough profile during that time and have been giddy :-) You'll log into your account and you'll tell us what new wallet address to send your money to. We'll pull it out of cold storage, yes - it'll take a little bit of time, and send those coins on their way to you.
What happens to my coins if you decide to stop offering this service?
Your coins are yours. We have set up this service so that you can participate in this new potential, future economy. We are taking the appropriate security precautions to ensure your coins are separate from anyone else. At the end of the day, your coins are yours. If we stopped offering this service, we will be contacting all customers to find out where they want their coins sent.
Is all of this legit?
Cryptocurrency, things like Bitcoin, is in its infancy and yet these coins are valued at hundreds of billions of dollars. We started this service because we think this world should be available to anyone.
You currently offer Ripple (XRP). What is that?
The Ripple page has some great information about them. Check them out here and their Reddit group is here. Ripple has been maturing since it was released in 2012 and its current Market Cap puts it in the Top 2!! of all cryptocurrencies. Please note, no one knows which of these technologies is going to explode like Bitcoin. That's why we are here. To give everyone a chance to grab a few coins just in case.
You currently offer Verge (XVG). What is that?
The Verge page has some great information about them. Check them out here and their Reddit group is here. We see Verge as another one of the potential contenders for what is next. Its Market Cap puts it in the Top 25 of all cryptocurrencies. Again, please note, no one knows which of these technologies is going to explode like Bitcoin. That's why we are here. To give everyone a chance to grab a few coins just in case.
You currently offer DigitalNote (XDN). What is that?
First of all, the DigitalNote page has some great information about them. Check them out here. I could also point you to their Reddit group here. But, we see it as one of the potential contenders for what is next. It's a truly anonymous blockchain technology that also supports deposits with interest. So, again, please...no one knows which of these technologies is going to explode like Bitcoin. That's why we are here. To give everyone a chance to grab a few coins just in case.
I purchased a plan but where is my profile?
